Man’s Obituary Goes Viral After Tearing Into Trump and Ignorant People

Published in a Texan newspaper on July 30, the obituary of David Nagy has been shared widely in social media, wherein his wife Stacey points her finger at Trump administration, the Texas government, as well as "the many ignorant, self-centered and selfish people" for causing her husband's passing.

Following a fall in March, David Nagy, 79, ended up hospitalized for his injuries before subsequently being admitted into a nursing home to recover.

In addition to the injuries he suffered due to the fall, David also had a list of pre-existing conditions that made him quite vulnerable should he contract COVID-19.

When speaking with BuzzFeedNews, his wife Stacey Nagy, 72, stated that David was suffering from 'diabetes, heart problems, and early signs of dementia'. Considering his fragile state, David took every precaution to ensure that he remains protected in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.

Despite their best efforts to ensure that David remains healthy while recovering from his fall in the nursing home, David found himself in hospital in early July where he tested positive for COVID-19.

Despite the numerous treatments administered to try and cure him, including Remdesivir and plasma therapy, David tragically passed on July 22.

'Family members believe David's death was needless'

Following her husband's passing, Stacey decided to use his obituary as an oppotunity to call out the people who she felt were responsible for her husband's avoidable death.

In addition to the usual suspects, such as government officials and Trump himself, Stacey called out the general public who value their own personal comfort or believe that being asked to wear a mask is encroaching on their rights:

Also to blame are the many ignorant, self-centered and selfish people who refused to follow the advice of the medical professionals, believing their 'right' not to wear a mask was more important than killing innocent people.

Despite David not being around to witness the call-out, Stacey believes her late husband would be proud of how she's chosen to handle things:

If he saw the responses we're getting for the obituary and my fighting for him, I think he would be pretty proud of me, I really do. I think he's smiling right now because I'm fighting for him and all the other 'hims.'
