It's not uncommon for animal lovers to try to get as close as possible to them. And, I mean, where's the harm in swimming with turtles or petting farm animals, right? Small bite, big fright
In a video that recently went viral, a man is seen taking a dip somewhere in Florida, according to Internet users. Florida is known for its big alligator population. Unlike crocodiles, alligators usually live in freshwater environments, such as ponds, swamps, or rivers.
Where exactly the video was filmed is anyone's guess, but it shows a man in the water, smiling, holding onto the pontoon. There are at least two alligators swimming with him. One of them is quite clearly disturbed by the man's intrusion into their territory and starts to swim closer to him. Then the inevitable happened. You can see it for yourselves in the video above.
Angry Internet users
As you can see, the alligator ended up attacking the man, whose excitement instantly turned to distress. Fortunately, the alligator stopped there, and the man miraculously got out of there after pushing the alligator away.
The video has been viewed over a million times on Twitter and over 600 people have commented on the post. While some Twitter users thought it was hilarious, many others were angry at the man and very critical of his behaviour. The video has seen been deleted on Twitter, but you can check it out in our video above!
