A Malaysian man has been slapped with a fine of almost £1,500 for repeatedly masturbating in front of passengers on a train. He pleaded guilty to two counts of performing an obscene act in a public space.

A court in Singapore heard that while on an MRT train travelling towards Harbourfront on April 12, Lee Sin Hee, 38, standing near a cabin door, masturbated in his pants. He only stopped when the woman he was facing got off the train.
Prosecutors said, he then moved to the middle of the cabin to continue masturbating in front of another woman. This time, he used his bag to cover his hand movements.
Feeling uncomfortable, the woman switched cabins, but not before Lee’s obscene acts were spotted by a male commuter, who asked him to get off the train at the next stop.
A staff of the transport company reported him to the police for causing public nuisance.
Another Train, Another Show
In the afternoon of Aug 21, Lee got on another train heading to Yio Chu Kang Station from Ang Mo Kio Station. Prosecutors told the court, he might have been aroused by a woman sitting close by and started masturbating in his pants, using his bag to shield his hand movements again.
He was spotted by another woman who, together with the woman he was masturbating to, reported him to the train staff.
He was later arrested, pleaded guilty and slapped with the fine. Lee, who did not have any legal representation, begged the court for a lighter sentence, saying:
I have no money as I have been out of a job for the past two months. I would like to serve a default sentence.
He later paid the fine and will not have to serve the eight days' jail in default.
