It was a regular evening for Canadian couple, Nicole Gagnon and Gerard Blackburn, from Quebec, but everything changed when Gagnon starting cutting the bell pepper that she had bought from the local supermarket.

The little green tree frog managed to escape the knife. But its sudden appearance definitely confused Gagnon and Blackburn! So what did the Canadian couple do? They reported the little frog to the Quebec Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ). But everyone was just as confused as to how the frog found its way into the pepper.
How did it get there?
Apparently, there was no hole anywhere on the pepper! Gagnon spoke to Radio Canada, and said: “It’s like the secret of Caramilk, how the frog ended up in the pepper, I don’t know!” Blackburn continued by saying, “They cannot see it. A pepper is closed. You can’t see if there is a frog in there or not.” However, Gagnon’s son had a pretty good guess as to how the frog got into the pepper.
He said, “Maybe an insect carried an egg inside. That’s my only idea. The pepper was whole.” There could have also been a hidden crack that went undetected by the couple!
Reports show that the pepper travelled from Honduras to Canada, and this information was given to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. Hopefully, they investigate this situation more!
