In China, it's reality! According to a Facebook page called "Trending in China", technology start up companies are looking to hire "pretty and talented" young women to help "create an entertaining and encouraging work environment".
How will the pretty ladies go about doing that? Easy...they'll buy the programmers meals, chat, and play ping-pong with them. They will be known as the "cheerleaders of programming". Does it actually work? The director of human resources of one company already recruited three of them and stated, 'The presence of these girls has greatly improved efficiency and motivation at work. Employees are largely men who have a lot of trouble socialising'.
