What you really don't want to do is buying a product from the shop. Not very ecological, toxic, expensive, not very effective... These cosmetics are not always the best. For your purposes, you want something organic but above all something that works. So why not try a little (DIY). We've put together a little recipe that should satisfy you.
How to make beard oil?
The ingredients you need:
- Two tablespoons of sweet almond oil
- Two tablespoons of jojoba oil
- Two drops of eucalyptus essential oil
- Two drops of tea tree oil
Sweet almond oil is nourishing and soothing. It relieves irritation and itching. Jojoba oil has anti-inflammatory and healing properties and provides good hydration, while eucalyptus essential oil is stimulating and will bring shine and volume to your beard. It is also effective in strengthening brittle and fragile hair. Finally, tea tree oil is a natural disinfectant. It is also effective in removing ingrown hairs.
Mix it all together in a flask, and voila, you have your 100% natural beard oil.
How to use beard oil?
It's easy to use! Simply pour some on your hands and rub it in to warm it up. Then apply it to your hair, massaging vigorously.
The best time to use your recipe is after showering, as your pores are dilated and the products penetrate more easily. Do this before you go to sleep so that the oil soaks in and works all night.
How to use castor oil to grow a beard?
In addition to your homemade oil, you can apply castor oil to your hair twice a week. Buy a bottle with a dropper for easy dosing. Apply 6 to 8 drops of oil to your hand and gently massage it into your skin.
Castor oil is particularly effective for hair growth. Thanks to its active ingredients, castor oil stimulates the hair bulb. As you may know, under your skin there are hair follicles, which need a boost. The oil will then 'wake them up' and this will increase your hair growth. It also helps to fill in any gaps in your beard. However, it is not a miracle product: if you have no beard at all, you can apply as much castor oil as you want, nothing will grow!
