So far we know that areas in the first-tier which is classed as a moderate risk will have to adhere by the 10 pm hospitality curfew as well as the ‘no more than six’ rule for socialising.
Areas in the second-tier are classed as high-risk and people in those areas will not be able to mix households indoors.
Third-tier, also known as very high-risk areas will see a total shutdown of bars and pubs unless hey can operate as a restaurant. Additional lockdown measures will also be put in place for some areas such as Liverpool and Merseyside as agreed upon between ministers and local authorities.
For example, Liverpool and Merseyside have agreed to the full closure of restaurants, leisure centres and betting shops on top of their third-tier restrictions.
The PM has announced that postcode checkers will be installed in the government website Gov.uk as well as the NHS’s COVID-19 app and will be reviewed every four weeks.
