Tips on how to last longer
Let’s be honest, it’s difficult to hold yourself back when you’re enjoying yourself so much and climax is imminent. But there are a few things you can do to delay the inevitable.
- Breathe
Breathing plays a crucial role in sex. If you feel that you are about to release, be sure to take a deep breath as this should cause your blood pressure to drop. For this to really work though, you have to take a deep breath and then exhale completely. But don’t forget to let your partner know what you’re doing beforehand or they might be a bit surprised.
- Change up your rhythm
If you feel that your current rhythm is going to make you orgasm and your partner hasn’t finished yet or you just fancy keeping the fun going for longer, you should quickly think about changing up your rhythm.
You could even just stop and take a 30 to 60 second break to calm yourself down. During this time, your mouth and hands are still available of course and still ready to keep pleasuring your partner.
- Think of something else
Everyone has heard this technique before but it unfortunately doesn’t work for everyone. Of course, the strategy that involves thinking about your grandmother drinking tea might work, but not for everyone. The goal is clear; you have to manage to stop thinking about what’s going on—easier said than done, we know, but with a little effort, you can do it!
If these tips don’t help
If you can’t last longer than 30 seconds even when using these tips, the problem might go a lot deeper. Try talking to your friends about it instead.
Your partner could also try and help you. There is no shame in going to the doctor about this problem. We can’t say it enough, communication is the key to every successful relationship.
