In reality, there’s multiple reasons why they don’t. The first is down to monetary sanctions. White paint actually costs less and doesn’t dull as quickly as other colours. The weather and atmosphere conditions really put the aircraft body to the test when in the air, and white just so happens to be the colour that endures these conditions the best.
Other reasons are slightly more technical. White reflects sunlight, which means the planes don’t overheat, both in the air and on the ground. This colour also makes the planes easier to spot in the sky in comparison to other colours and finally, cracks and bumps are easier to spot and stand out more if the planes are white.
