Around the world, people have received three or, in rare circumstances, four doses of the COVID vaccine in nations where booster doses are offered.
Vaccine: The 'elixir of life'
Brahmadev Mandal, a resident of Chausa in Bihar's Madhepura district, is a retired worker of the postal services. He claims to have had 11 jabs, as he kept a record of each one. In a video posted on Twitter, the man recorded himself reading out the time and dates of each vaccine—according to his expansive list, he received 3 shots in September itself.
Mandal has had no negative health impacts despite receiving so many COVID vaccination doses at such short intervals. More surprisingly even, his joint and knee pain have reportedly vanished, reportedly.
Mandal says:
The vaccine is 'amrit' (elixir of life). I have gained immensely from them, even issues like waist pain have been treated. I have more oxygen (saturation) now. I no longer suffer from cough or cold.
Waiting for the 12th jab
On how he has managed to receive so many doses, Mandal says:
The government has no surveillance system in place.
The old man reportedly wants more of the jabs and ardently looks forward to his 12th jab. He did eventually end up going for his 12th jab, but he luckily couldn't get one as the vaccination drives were suspended at the time.
Currently, an investigation is ongoing to question the system's carelessness in doing so. But, Mandal is 100% satisfied with the government's vaccines and wanted to know why people from around the world were hesitant to take the vaccine.
