This machine, which is normally intended for agricultural tasks, was specially modified to improve its aerodynamic profile. The tractor's incredible power, combined with Guy Martin's steering precision, allowed the vehicle to top more than 200 km/h.
'There are some good folk there and they said about this idea of building the world's fastest tractor. So I said 'if you want it piloting give us a shout' and that’s where it came about,' he told Guinness World Records.
Afterwards Guy said: 'I think we did over 110 mph in one place. It doesn’t feel that fast. It’s a big open place you don’t have anything to reference your speed. You could be doing 250 mph here and it doesn’t feel that fast.'
Indeed, this monster hit a peak speed of 247.47 km/h, which is well above the previous world record of 217.57 km/h. It took 20L of fuel for the 5-ton tractor to reach this speed.
In case you were wondering, it's almost impossible to use this war machine on unsuitable terrain. In other words, if you have a similar vehicle at home, it's probably best if you keep it stored in the garage!
