It has four eyes, two noses, two mouths, and... two first names! Biscuits and Gravy is a kitten that was born on May 20 in Oregon, United States, with a very rare trait: it was born with two faces. When their cat gave birth, members of the King family noticed that one of the kittens from the litter was different from the others. According to CBS, it suffers from diprosopus disorder, a birth defect that gives cats two faces, like Janus, the two-faced Roman god.

Interestingly, the kitten can eat, suck and meow using both mouths at the same time. The little furball already has his own Instagram and Facebook pages, on which his family regularly uploads photos and videos of him.
Low life expectancy
Unfortunately, kittens born with this birth defect usually don't live very long, CBS points out. And Biscuit and Gravy was no exception to the rule. Its deformities made it difficult for the kitten to survive. Holding up two heads was very difficult, and after just a few days, Biscuits and Gravy died. The owner shared the news on the little kitten's Facebook page last Sunday.
Although "Janus" cats usually don't survive more than a day, the American news outlet recalls one such cat that beat this record: a cat named Frank and Louis that also suffered from diprosopus disorder lived 15 years. It died in 2014.
Gone too soon
Unfortunately, news broke recently that Biscuits and Gravy did not survive very long and passed away at just 4 days old. Gone but certainly not forgotten.
The King family released a statement on Facebook following the kitten's passing:
Biscuits and Gravy is definitely a gift, God allowed this little miracle to come into our lives for some reason. My hope and prayer is that Jesus' love and sacrifice is shown through this little life... We thank all of you who have been so kind, prayed, and wished the best for Biscuits and Gravy. So many of you care and wanted to follow his progress, and some said very nice things to and about us. We will never forget your kindness.
