Bomb squad were called in to investigate a suspicious package placed on top of an electrical box shortly early in the morning, using a string to place it in a cordoned-off location before slowly backing away. The procedure for removal a potential bomb threat is long and tedious, but necessary to ensure the safety of all those around. One cyclist definitely not having it.

While the bag was still being treated as a potential explosive device, the cyclist rode through the police tape cordoning off the area and proceeded to open it up throw out its contents. Seems like someone was in a bit of a rush.
A moment of tension
‘I thought for a moment there, he was going to get blown up’, Robert Harris, the man who called in the suspicious backpack said. "Some water bottles came out and they were aluminum or stainless steel. You don't know they were just water bottles. It could have been a bomb device there’.
Footage taken at the scene shows the man discarding water bottles, clothing and what appears to be other camping equipment before he is dramatically taken down by three officers.
The cyclist's efforts didn't land him a medal of bravery or a pat on the back. Instead, it landed him in a pair of handcuffs. There's been no word from the man himself, but it's a safe bet that he'll keep cycling past the next police investigation he stumbles upon.
