The images we have of this crocodile are just further proof of the horror that is human pollution. Birds are building their nests out of plastic waste and more than one whale has died as a result of the agony caused by too much waste clogging up their stomachs. Meanwhile, more and more animals in the countryside are also falling victim to our throw-away society.

A crocodile has been living with a tire around its neck
The Indonesian animal welfare authorities have been aware of this crocodile since 2016 when it was spotted with a tire around its neck in Palu - a motorcycle tire to be more precise. For three years, several trained crocodile handlers have tried to free the animal from the tire and its torture, but none have succeeded.
According to Sky News, the crocodile has also experienced several other life-threatening situations over these three years as well as being hindered by this motorcycle tire. Since then, several tsunamis and earthquakes have also struck the city of Palu in Indonesia.
Despite these natural disasters, however, the crocodile has continued to grow. However, this just added to the crocodile’s risk of suffocating on the human waste product.
No one has been able to free the animal yet
Nobody has managed to free the animal yet and even animal whisperer Muhammad Panji, also known as Panji the Adventurer, didn’t succeed in releasing the predator back in 2018. Nature Conservation Agencies have also tried their luck, but their efforts also proved to be in vain.
In order to prevent the painful death of the animal, which now measures almost four meters long, a reward was officially announced last week for the person who is able to free the animal from the tire without injuring it.
According to Yahoo News, however, the head of the Central Sulawesi Natural Resources Conservation Agency has announced that this reward has since been revoked. Why? Because the ministry and authorities have now declared that they themselves are ready to liberate the animal with the help of special forces. This was probably also done to prevent people from attempting such a dangerous rescue mission themselves.
