The 15-year-old teenager had no underlying medical conditions prior to being diagnosed with COVID-19.

COVID induced myocarditis
The GCSE student at the Portsmouth Academy first developed flu-like symptoms before taking a PCR test to confirm her infection with the coronavirus, according to her mother Tracey Halliday. In just a short amount of time, things degenerated so quickly that the young girl was unable to eat due to severe throat pain and was later forced to be taken to a hospital for intensive care.
After being put on antibiotics, doctors found her heart-rate to be double what it should have been for someone her age and later diagnosed her with COVID induced myocarditis or heart inflammation. The mother explained:
They realised how serious it was and I was still allowed to touch her, hold her hand, hug her and everything else. They did allow me that. I'm at the point where I can't comprehend that it's happened. I was with her the whole time.
Dead on day of vaccination
Despite being put on ventilation, doctors were unable to stabilize her heart rate. Ms. Halliday said that because her daughter became infected, she was forced to quarantine and ultimately missed the day of her vaccination which happened to be the day she passed away. She said:
They worked as well as I think they could medically but were unable to save her. She had the best of care, I know that they did everything they could to save her. She was going to have the jab on Tuesday.
And added:
But because she tested positive on Saturday she was isolating. When her isolation period was over she was going to get it. The day that she passed away was the day that she would have had it done.
