Surprising ingredients
McDonald's China launched a new burger with some interesting ingredients on December 21st. What kind of burger is it? A ham and Oreo burger! And not just any kind of ham but SPAM, canned cooked pork. Sounds tasty, doesn’t it?
Originally, the name SPAM came from a contraction of ‘Spiced Ham’ before becoming a brand name in its own right which now markets other canned products as well. The story goes that, since SPAM had such a bad reputation, it gave its name to the infamous spam emails, those unwanted e-mails you receive in your inbox.
Ultra-limited edition
This new type of burger will be available in China as an ultra-limited series of only 400,000 units… While the SPAM brand joined forces with the American fast-food chain to create this new burger, this is not the case when it comes to Oreo, and we can understand why!
How about you, would you give this burger a try?
