The result is fascinating. After he breaks its shell, the egg perfectly retains its original shape. The white and yolk remain distinct and move in the water. The effect is quite beautiful and mesmerising. Whilst the white becomes somewhat transparent in the water, the yellow is bright. It even seems to take on a fluorescent colour. However, when the diver takes the egg between his hands, it smashes and pieces of egg disperse in the water.
This experiment shows that even when removed from its shell, the egg keeps its shape because of the pressure exerted at depth.
