In a long and exciting survey published this year, the New York Times looked at the stories of several US Navy pilots who claim to have seen many UFOs for nearly a year between summer 2014 and March 2015, not far from the Mexican border.

These observations were made more specifically between Florida and Virginia, on the east coast of the United States.
"We saw them every day," recalls Lieutenant Ryan Graves, who shared his findings at the Pentagon. And the examples are not lacking, since many pilots tell of similar experiences after having come across these forms which were described as being oval, "giant Tic Tac" or "spinning top"-shaped, and able to move at bewildering speeds.
As you can see in the above video, some of these "third type encounters" could be filmed. In a one-minute video clip filmed on January 20, 2015 and published by The New York Times, one can see how stunned pilots are when they find themselves confronted with these unidentified flying objects. "Wow, what's that guy, watch me fly!" exclaims one of them as he tries to follow (not without difficulty) the trajectory of the object.
And the near-inhuman speed of these UFOs is not their only confusing feature. If their shapes are not challenging enough, it is especially their ability to stop dead which caused widespread astonishment.
According to the pilots' testimonies compiled by The New York Times, this ability goes even beyond human physics. "Speed can not kill you but braking or accelerating, though," says Lt. Ryan Graves.
And if these testimonies and videos have been carefully examined by the US military, the Ministry of Defense refuses to discuss the possibility of extraterrestrial objects. Nonetheless, the issue is clearly being taken very seriously, since new instructions to follow in case of meeting unknown objects in the sky have been put in place since the beginning of the year.
