The context
An Airbus A380 aircraft from the Emirates airline created a vortex during its flight through the clouds. A vortex is a swirling motion that forms at the ends of the wings of an airplane. You can see that it is both impressive and beautiful.
Not without consequences
Although a vortex is visually pretty, when you are on the plane it's a different story! It can cause violent turbulence for the passengers on the flight. All those who have lived through one will tell you that it's quite unpleasant, it's scary and it can have serious consequences on the aircraft.
