An enduring mistery
The aircraftlikely belongs to someone abandoned it there for lack of means. It has not suffered any trauma and is subject to the passage of time without anything being done to try to restore it.
Some residents thought for a moment that the Boeing aircraft should have been transformedinto a restaurant. But due to a lack of financial means, its owner hassimply abandonedit on this private lot, where all visits are prohibited.
Strangely popular
This does not prevent crowds of curious visitors from seeing the plane, which has over time become a real 'hotspot' for tourists who come to Bali. It is even possibleto visit the aircraft, from which all passenger seats have been removed.
'I had already heard about this plane a while back and I really wanted to see it. You can pass by the plane without noticing it. We had to go through a bush to get there. It was fantastic and scary at the same time,' say tourists visiting the island. This is definitely not the kind of thing you see every day.
