A breathtaking view
Located in the highlands of southwestern Bolivia, Uyuni is the largest salt desert in the world. During the austral summer, which runs from December to March, the Uyuni salt flats can be flooded for a few weeks. As this desert is perfectly flat, it is covered with water on its entire surface, which makes it a gigantic mirror.
A huge space
The Uyuni salt flats culminate at 3,658 meters above sea level and cover an impressive surface of 10,582 square kilometers, all made of salt! In addition, it is a great resource because it accounts for one-third of the world's exploitable lithium reserves.
The result is almost unreal
As can be seen in the video above, which shows a person on a motorcycle, it gives the desert a totally magical appearance, that seems to be straight out of a dream. Many tourists visit this incredible site to take gorgeous photographs or videos.
