These photos were taken by two photographers from the United States named Jesse and Linda Waring in Florida. This state is well-known for its incredible predators that inhabit the murky waters, like alligators for example. And this makes it the perfect location to witness some rather incredible ecological battle of wills.

The photos were taken in the Circle B Bar Reserve in Lakeland. As Linda Waring explained on her Facebook page, her husband realised that there was an enormous crocodile moving through the water. When they approached to get a better look, they saw a snake desperately trying to free itself from the animal’s jaws.
Every time the crocodile closed its mouth, the snake tried even harder to escape. This struggle lasted around 10 minutes and unsurprisingly, the crocodile finally managed to swallow its prey.
Battles like these between reptiles are normal, but they are still surprising nevertheless. We’ll let you check out the photos of this incredible struggle in the video above.
