Bad positions
Sleeping in a bad position (for example, on your side or on your belly) can cause muscle fatigue, night apnea, back and neck pains, cramps, heartburn etc.
According to researchers, 7% of people sleep on their stomachs. However, this is the absolute worst position you could sleep in, since your entire body, and your stomach in particular, is under pressure.
Sleeping on your back
This is the neutral position, because it’s the position in which your muscles and joints are under the least amount of pressure. Some experts say that you could force yourself to sleep on your back, especially by putting pillows all along your body.
What people don’t tell you, is that this is the position in which people tend to snore more and this won’t be good news for those who you share a room with… but at least you’ll sleep well!
