Felines will stop at nothing to catch their prey. We were able to see this in action over the weekend thanks to a video posted on the web. It shows a leopard entering the Singita Ebony Lodge luxury hotel restaurant located in the Kruger National Park in South Africa. This incredible event was captured on film by one of the guests, 39-year-old Erika Wiese.

She was with her uncle and two friends in the restaurant shortly after breakfast when the monkeys started to become agitated. This was a warning sign that the leopard was coming. A few seconds later, the animal entered the restaurant to take stock of the place. That same morning it had been seen in front of the hotel hunting an antelope, and later on, it was continuing that hunt.
No harm done
Fortunately, everything went well, and no one was injured during this surprise visit. Erika Wiese told Fox News:
Singita's staff is very well trained to handle incidents of this kind and has strict safety protocols in place to ensure the safety of the employees and guests in these situations. We were able to remain calm, silent and in awe of this beautiful creature that was so close to us.
While the clients must have had a good scare, they were nevertheless able to appreciate the extraordinary nature of this event. Erika concluded:
What a rare experience to have such an encounter with a leopard. The situation proved that wildlife and humans can live and interact together in harmony and respect. It was extremely exceptional for me and all I can say to someone in this situation is to remain calm and respectful
